Juneteenth Card|Hero Arts

Hola everyone. Thanks for stopping by! Today is Juneteenth-a holiday celebrated on June 19th to commemorate the emancipation of enslaved people in the United States. Juneteenth is also known as Freedom Day or Emancipation Day.

Celebrations began with enslaved people in Galveston, Texas. Although President Abraham Lincoln's Emancipation Proclamation freed the slaves in 1863, it was not enforced in many places in the South until the Civil War ended in 1865.

News that the war had ended and they were free finally reached the enslaved in Galveston on June 19, 1865, more than two months after Confederate Gen. Robert E. Lee surrendered to Union Gen. Ulysses S. Grant in Virginia.

To celebrate today, I created a clean and simple card using the Hero Arts Rainbow Infinity Dies Set.

Card Instructions
1. Adhere a 4" X 5.25" white cardstock panel to a an A2 card base.
2. Die-cut the rainbow arcs in Cherry, Mustard and Meadow cardstock
and adhere to the card panel.
3. Die-cut 1,8,6 and 5 in Pitch Black cardstock; adhere to card front
beneath the rainbow. You may use, dies, stickers or even your own
    handwriting for this.
4. Using a hole punch-cut out small circles in Cherry, Mustard and
    Meadow cardstock; adhere to card.

Easy right?!?

Hola everyone! Today's Three Room Studio Challenge is: CLEAN AND SIMPLE. My card came together quickly and I hope you will give it a try.

I colored, stamped and die-cut "hooray!" from the YAY clear stamp and coordinating die set three times. I glued and stacked them.

Next, I stamped the sentiment onto a white, top folding A2 card base and adhered the "hooray!" to the card.

To complete the card I added enamel dots.

Sending You Peaceful Thoughts- Clean & Simple

Hola everyone! Did you get to take a peek at the Hero Arts February 2021 My Monthly Hero Kit? Lots of awesome images! For inspiration using the kit...please take a peek at the release blog hop. The Hero Arts Creative Team and a few of our crafty friends share cards and fun projects.

Today I am sharing a clean and simple card I created with the Hibiscus Fancy Die. A perfect add-on to the the February MMH Kit.

The card come together very quickly and I hope you will give it a try.

To begin, I die-cut the large leaf from the Hibiscus Fancy Die set 8 times in Palm cardstock.  Next time I will die-cut more so I can make a few cards at one time.

I then randomly glued the leaves to a  4"X 5 1/8" Dove White cardstock panel and adhered it to a top-folding card base.

Next, I heat embossed a sentiment from the February MMH Kit with gold embossing powder onto white cardstock and matted it with Palm cardstock.

I adhered the sentiment to the card base to complete my card.

I hope you were inspired to create a clean and simple card.

Thanks for taking a peek. Enjoy the rest of your day!
