Hero Arts February 2022 My Monthly Hero Release Blog Hop & Giveaway

Hola everyone. Thanks for joining hero Arts in celebrating the February 2022 My Monthly Hero Kit release. If you hopped over from the awesome Mindy Eggen, you are in the right place. To start the hop from the beginning, visit the Hero Arts Blog. The entire hop list can be found at the bottom of this post, along with the giveaway information.

The February 2022 My Monthly Hero Kit release was inspired by the art of the surrealist masters and the magical imagery of dreams. There are nine different messages to include on your card or project, and the kit is rounded out with black watercolor paper, a water brush, and a custom Daniel Smith watercolor paint palette.

For my first card, I was inspired by the Belgian surrealist painter René Magritte's self portrait-Son of Man. You may have seen the famous piece with a man in a bowler hat peeking from behind an apple.

Card Instructions:

1. Stamps clouds in Wet Cement onto a 4" X5.25" white card panel.
2. Blend Fruit Punch and Creamsicle Reactive Inks onto a 4.5" X 5.5"
3. Adhere die-cut panel onto cloud stamped panel.
4. Die-cut and a Hero Lifestyle Form
5. Die-cut, assemble and adhere outfit from Hero Lifestyle Victorian
    Gentleman onto Lifestyle Form.
6. Die-cut bowler hat from the kit and adhere to gentleman.
7. Die-cut apple several times from kit, color and adhere one to face of
    gentleman and others to panel.
8. Stamp sentiment onto white cardstock and die-cut with a Nesting
Cloudy Infinity Die and adhere to card panel.
9. Place gentleman onto panel with foam dots for dimension and
adhere panel to an A2 top folding card base.

For my second card, I used the Swirls and Dots Bold Prints, and add-on to the February 2022 My Monthly Hero Kit.

Card Instructions

Party reactive inks, lightly spritz with water and stamp onto a 3.75"
X 5" white cardstock panel.
2. Adhere stamped panel onto a 4" X 5.25" Meadow cardstock panel.
3. Adhere panel onto an A2 white card base
4. Die-cut the hot air balloon from You Sparkle (also a February 2022
My Monthly Hero Kit add-on) in Canary cardstock.
5. Stamp sentiment, color and adhere the hot air balloon onto the card
panel.

I hope the February 2022 My Monthly Hero Kit inspires you to let your imagination soar as you arrange your own creative scenes.

  1. Hi, Pocono Pam from Lancaster Lori -
Love your cards!! Magritte would be so proud!! I also love how you used the background stamp done in colored ink (not black but kind of giving a b/w vibe) and left the design uncolored as a good foil for the little yellow balloon. Very cool!!
