You're Bee-utiful-Hexagons

Hola everyone! I was inspired by fellow creative team member Ilina's Crouse's post yesterday. She was up on the Hero Arts blog sharing how she created two cards using the Hexagon Infinity Dies. Click HERE to take a peek at Ilina's post.

The only shaped dies I use for cards are hearts, circles and stars.  So, after reading reading Ilina's tutorial and watching her video, I decided to give it a try.

To create my hexagons, I grabbed the beautiful Pale Yellow and Glitter Black glitter paper from the January My Monthly Hero Kit. This kit is sold out, but you can use any glitter cardstock that makes you smile.

Keeping the 5 smallest hexagons nested, I used Washi tape to hold them in place while I cranked them through my die-cutting machine. While nested, the dies created frames.

I glued my hexagons to copy paper. While they were drying I cut two strips of the Gold Brilliance paper, also from the January My Monthly Hero Kit, and adhered them to long sides of a 3 3/4" X 5" Dove White panel. I stamped the sentiment onto the lower right corner. I then glued the panel to a top-folding A2 card base.

I cut out the hexagons and glued them them to the card panel. Next, stamped and colored one of the nice chunky bees from the kit three times. I popped the bees onto the card with foam squares to add dimension.

I hope you were inspired to use nesting dies to create a card or project.

Thanks for taking a peek! Enjoy the rest of the day.
