I had fun creating my card. I knew immediately I wanted to use the August 2020 My Monthly Hero Kit. The images are perfect for creating a day or night scene. Both are perfect for adding lights.

I die-cut the Nature Border Fancy die in black cardstock and set aside. On a 4.25" X 5.5" white panel, clouds and sun rays from the December 2020 My Monthly Hero Kit. This kit is sold out, however; you can create a background without the set.  I glued the Nature Border die cut to the background and set aside.  I then color and die cut images from the August 2020 My Monthly Hero Kit and arranged my scene gluing all pieces except the fire pit.

Laying my panel onto a self-healing mat, I noted where I wanted the lights to shine through the fire pit flames with a pencil, then poked two holes. I then poked a small hole in the upper right hand corner of the panel. This was easy as there was already a small opening the tree. I just poked a small hole right through.

I will admit, I have never added lights to a card or any project before and was a bit nervous. The Pear Blossom Press EZ Lights were a snap. Literally, I just snapped off the mechanism, adhered it with double sided red tape to my card base, arranged the lights with clear tape, slipped in the battery and TA-DA! Lights are on!

I then adhered foam tape around the base being mindful to leave an opening for the mechanism.

I love the glow of the flames!

Do you see the sunlight light peeking through????

The next stop on the hop is Hero Arts

Thanks for taking a peek! Enjoy the rest of your week!
