Hero Arts January 2021 MMH Countdown & Giveaway

Hola everyone! Today, I am sharing a card as part of Day 1 of the countdown to the release of the Hero Arts January 2021 My Monthly Hero Kit!

Though many people are not fans of bees....I love them! I can binge watch bee documentaries for hours! They are hard workers and very creative. Have you ever really looked at a honeycomb? It is work of art!

I created a card using the flower stamp included in the kit. It came together quickly and I hope you will give it a try.

I began by creating an A2 card base ( 4 1/4" X 5 1/2") with Sand premium cardstock. Next, after brushing the card with my powder tool, (this removes oils & static from the cardstock) I stamped the flower image on the bottom third of the card base with Versamark Ink a few times. I like it juicy.

I then applied Detail Black fine black embossing powder to the stamped impression and heat set it, resulting in a beautiful shiny, raised image. I have to say...heat embossing is my favorite technique. It is what got me hooked on scrapbooking and card making in 2009. It will always be magical to me....like bees!

Next I stamped one of the bee images from the stamp set with Versamark Ink and and used Detail Black embossing powder again. Ahhhh...the magic!

I colored the bee and the wings with Y15 and Y35 Copic Markers and cut it out with the coordinating die.

To complete the card, I stamped the sentiment, placed the bee down with a foam square and added black enamel dots from the Neutrals Hero Hues Enamel Dots set.

I love how my card turned out and plan to re-create it to send to family and friends! I hope you will give it a try!
