Trinity Stamps- The Bright Side Release-Instagram Hop

Hola everyone! Today, I am helping Trinity Stamps celebrate their release of the Bright Side over on Instagram. There are some amazing new @trinitystampsllc products to share and awesome inspiration from their DT.  You can hop along with us for your chance to win a $25 gift card to Trinity Stamps store. The hop ends 8/6 @ 11:59 PM PDT.  Winners will be announced on the @trinitystampsllc IG on August 7th.

Below are the cards I created for the Bright Side Release. I used the Blooming Bunch set for both cards.

On the first card, I partially stamped the floral image on opposite corners of a 4 Bar card panel.  Trinity Stamps has a 4 Bar card die set so, I did not have to measure.  I colored the images with Copic Markers and added the "hello" die cut from the slim line card die set.

I love how the "hello" turned out. I was attempting to "watercolor"  using alcohol inks on photo paper. I was not happy with the result, but it was perfect as a die cut! I adhered the matted panel to a base with a few crystal clear rhinestones to complete the card.

This second card came together very quickly using the off-set stamping technique. I first stamped the the Blooming Bunch floral image with Hero Arts Unicorn White pigment ink in my mini MISTI. I then offset the image by about an eight of an inch, cleaned the stamp and stamped again using Hero Arts Bubble Gum ink. I added a sentiment from the Trinity Stamps Classroom Cuties set along with a few embellishments from the Rainbow Fish flat back bead mix.

Head on over to Instagram for all of the information about the hop. Trinity Stamps is the first stop>>>@trinitystampsllc and you can find me along the hops as poconopam

UNITED AS ONE YOU ARE LOVED

Hola Everyone!

Today I am sharing a card inspired by Heidi Swapp!

In Heidi's IG post on July 10th she wrote:

" I knew that I wanted to shout this message: YOU BELONG HERE! You ARE loved! Whatever might be telling you that you aren’t good enough, or you aren’t worthy or that people would be better off without you: those are LIES. This world NEEDS your gifts, your smile, your love."

In this post, Heidi honored her son Cory, who passed 5 years ago. Having lost a family member myself, I know the importance of suicide awareness. Feeling sad or anxious is not a sign of weakness and does not discriminate. Conversations about mental illness and the resources available are needed as it can lead to mental wellness: mind, body and soul.

I created this 4X4 card using the United As One Stamp set. After stamping YOU ARE LOVED on a heart die-cut, I placed it on stack of hearts. Added it to a stenciled background, with a few embellishments.  This is a simple card that can be given to anyone.

United As One-Use Your Scraps

Hola Everyone! Dana and I are still over the moon regarding our United As One Stamp Set partnership collaboration with Hero Arts. Did you see our sneak peek of Kids United on yesterday's post? If you missed it CLICK HERE to take a peek!

Thank you all again for your love and support.

Today I am sharing 2 cards I have created with using scraps from the open book easel card I posted on Wednesday. If you would like to see that card you may CLICK HERE.

I arranged strips on the first card and stamped a sentiment near the lower right hand corner.

For the second card, I arranged black, white and grey cardstock strips in a brick design and colored the hands using my "W" Copic Markers only. A sentiment covers the base of the hands. I really like how this turned out.

United As One-Easel Card

Hola Everyone!  Pocono Pam here. I have created another card using the newly released United As One stamp set-a partnership collection with Hero Arts, Dana Joy and myself.

Today I am sharing an open book easel card. I started with a black A2 card base and folded one side in half. Below please find the measurements for the additional pieces to complete the card.

I adhered patterned paper to the base.  I then folded the large and small page mats and pages in half. The large and small page mats are card stock while the pages are patterned paper.  I stamped the sentiments on the right side of the small page.  It would have been difficult to stamp after the card was assembled. I then curled the ends of the large and small mats and pages with a pencil.

I turned both the large and small pieces face down. Setting the large mat aside, I placed double-sided tape down the center of the small mat and page. I place smaller pieces of double sided tape on the opposite sides.

For the large page mat, starting about a 1/4 inch down from the top, I placed double-sided tape long enough to cover 1/2 of the spine. Small pieces of double sided tape are on the opposite sides.

I then assembled the book. Removing the backing off of the tape, I adhered the small page spine to the center of the small page mat. I then slightly pushed back one side of the page and adhered it to the mat doing the same on the opposite side.

I repeated the process by adding the large page to the large mat. Next, I adhere the small page assembly to the center of the large page assembly. Removing the backing from the large mat, I adhered it to the folded side of the base. I assembled the stopper strip and adhered it to the flat side of the base and embellished.

Don't leave just yet! Today I am joined by 3 talented guest designers whom I admire and adore. They will be sharing their work as well. Please stop and visit my friends.....

Hero Arts-Dana Joy-Pocono Pam UNITED AS ONE STAMP SET

Hola everyone! The big REVEAL of the United As One Stamp Set is here! Dana, Hero Arts and I are excited to partner in a conscious effort to be intentionally diverse and inclusive.

I would like to thank Aaron of Hero Arts and his amazing team for all of their support in making our vision come to fruition. A special thanks to Jennifer McGuire for her guidance, continued love and unconditional friendship over the years.

The United As One Stamp Set was born from many conversations Dana and I had regarding a need to see Black people represented in the creative industry. The lack of diversity remains one of the most important issues in our community. An issue that must be addressed in the board rooms of business owners, retailers and manufacturers in the creative industries. Black people should be seated at the table to share our experiences, values and ideas. Hero Arts a company already committed to diversity and inclusion, invited Dana and I to create a few sets that we felt would make a difference. Images and sentiments that will inspire creators to speak their truth.

The United As One Stamp Set can be used in various ways for many occasions.  I love to send snail mail, so for today’s post I created a postcard, card and matching envelope. I have never created a postcard before but was inspired by my creative group-Art Throw Down hosted by Alison @state_ of thefunyun and Russ @russrumano. We meet every week night at 10pm EST live on Instagram. Join us if you can. Most episodes are recorded and can be found on YouTube >>HERE<<

For my postcard I cut down a piece junk mail to 4 x 6 and applied scrap paper to the front and back. For the front, I stamped out the heart from the set and added a sentiment and punched smaller hearts. I will cover the front with a layer of Mod Podge for protection from the postal machines.

For the back of the postcard I drew a line down the middle of white cardstock measuring 3.5 X 5.5 leaving 3/4” space at either end and adhered it. I then stamped sentiments on top and the left of the post card and left room on the right to address it. I finished the postcard with a few quick busts of glitter spray.

The card and matching envelope were created stamping the clasped hand first, masking them, then stamping the large heart. Sentiment and embellishments were added thereafter.

Please stop by Hero Art's Blog tomorrow as Dana will be on  sharing her cards. A few guest artists we adore will be joining her.
