Susi likes owls. Correction. Susi looooves owls. Her bestie Linda thought it would be awesome if we all created an owl related project in honor of Susi's day!

From watching her YouTube vids, I know that Susi is big on family and I wanted to create something that reflected that. I altered a frame that I purchased from A.C. Moore  awhile ago. Since we are challenging ourselves not to buy scrappy goodies, "What The Heck" Linda, cut owls from her silhouette and mailed them to me. I thought they were really cute and loved that one was orange!

NEW YEAR CHALLENGE!

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!

As we start this New Year, I wish you all health and happiness! May you all find the blessings that await you with each new day this year!

I really do not make resolutions, but I love to challenge myself! I recently cleaned my scrap room and found I had double of a lot of items. I also have goodies that I haven't even touched yet: a craft sewing machine, Cinch,  and crackle paint to name a few. This year my challenge is NOT TO BUY ANY SCRAPPING GOODIES for a year! Yep, you read it! I WILL NOT BUY ANY SCRAPPING GOODIES FOR ONE WHOLE, LONG, ENTIRE YEAR! And this being a LEAP YEAR, that is 366 days!  Linda, sweetie pie that she is, has decided to take the challenge with me! (I see a future “What The Heck” episode on this challenge! LOL)

DAY 9-ALTERED CANDLE

HOLA EVERYONE! WELCOME TO DAY 9 OF OUR SWAP! I made this candle shortly after we created our list. I was very unhappy with the candle I made for Linda last year and was determined to do a great job this year! That is why when I saw JAMIE DOUGHERTY alter a candle one night on
LIVE WITH PRIMA on USTREAM, I was sooooooooooo excited! I used a different sized candle and ribbon in my stash, but I followed Jamie's tutorial exactly, using all PRIMA PRODUCTS!

Here is how my CANDLE turned out!!!!! I love and I and think Linda will be happy with it too!

Place Settings Made for my Scrappy Sister Andrea

Good morning all!


I wanted to share a project that I completed for my scrappy sister, Andrea. She is hosting a holiday party today for a group of about 20 or more of her fellow sorority sisters: the ZETA PHI BETAs of the DELTA BETA ZETA Chapter of Queens, New York. Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. is an international organization of business, professional and collegiate women with an extensive history of community service. CLICK HERE for more information about this awesome organization.    


 Andrea asked me to create place settings that her sorors can use after the festivities are over. I found wooden plaques at A.C. Moore for about 30 cents each and went to work. Andrea provided the doves which she purchased and I painted. Though Provocraft has a digital GREEK ALPHABET cartridge available for purchase and use in the CRICUT CRAFT ROOM, I used my Gypsy and welded an "O" and an "I" to create the PHI. I LOVE MY GYPSY!!!!
