01 January 2012

As we start this New Year, I wish you all health and happiness! May you all find the blessings that await you with each new day this year!

I really do not make resolutions, but I love to challenge myself! I recently cleaned my scrap room and found I had double of a lot of items. I also have goodies that I haven't even touched yet: a craft sewing machine, Cinch,  and crackle paint to name a few. This year my challenge is NOT TO BUY ANY SCRAPPING GOODIES for a year! Yep, you read it! I WILL NOT BUY ANY SCRAPPING GOODIES FOR ONE WHOLE, LONG, ENTIRE YEAR! And this being a LEAP YEAR, that is 366 days!  Linda, sweetie pie that she is, has decided to take the challenge with me! (I see a future “What The Heck” episode on this challenge! LOL)

For 2012 I challenge myself to only purchase
Plain cardstock (for cards and diecuts)
Craft cardstock
Paper Bags
Refills for my COPIC MARKERS
Colorless Blender for Copic use
Any tool in my arsenal that may become damaged/lost/stolen
e.g. heat gun, hot glue gun, paper trimmer, Cricut, scissors, etc.
Any replacement tool/item (blades,light,etc.)
Stamp cleaner
Black Stazon Ink
Black Momento Ink
Organizational tools/items
Scrappy magazines that I currently subscribe to
Kathy Orta tutorials

I will attend CROPS/CONVENTIONS but I will not purchase anything on the vendor floor/booths.

I will attend classes at CROPS/CONVENTIONS, but purchase nothing additional to what is included in the class kit.

I WILL NOT PURCHASE any scrappy goodies for Linda and vice versa!

Do any of you have challenges for yourself this year? Let me know. Thanks for stopping by!

  1. No scrappy purchases for a year?? What the heck? Just kidding, lol! I do understand as I have way too much stuff myself! I look forward to hearing more in future posts. Best wishes to you and your family as you move forward in 2012!

  2. Oh Pam that is a very hard challenage but i do understand i also have waaaayyyy to many scrappy items that i hoard and need to use. With so many great goodies always coming out that is going to be very hard. But good luck on your journey with Linda can't wait to see both of ya ladies video's.

I appreciate your postive and constructive comments!
