Hola Everyone! Today I am sharing a card I created using the new Hero Arts City HeroScape clear stamp set. The Hero Arts Color Layering technique allows you to add layer upon layer of color, thus adding depth and interest to your cards and projects.
City HeroScape reminds me of the many, many occasions I admired the New York City skyline during different times of the day and night.
To create my card, I first stamped and layered the skyline in Fog, Wet Cement and Intense Black Inks onto a 4" X 5 1/4" watercolor paper panel.
I swiped Thistle Reactive Ink onto an acrylic block, spritzed the ink with a water mist bottle and used a water flow brush, to "watercolor" the sky. Once dry, I stamped the helicopter from the set.
I cleaned the acrylic block, swiped it with Wet Cement, Soft Granite and Grape Slush and spritzed the inks with a water mist bottle. I used mini watercolor brushes to watercolor and create the New York Harbor.
I used a mini watercolor brush spritzed White Shimmer Mist to add a little glisten to the harbor water.
After the panel was dry, I cut it down to 3 3/4" X 5" and matted it with Pitch Black cardstock cut to 4" X 5 1/4". I adhered the panel to an A2 top folding Antique Ivory card base.
Hope you enjoyed my card today. Thanks for taking a peek. Enjoy the rest of your week!
