Hola everyone! Today, I am sharing a money gift holder as part of Day 2 of the countdown to the release of the
Hero Arts October 2020 My Monthly Hero Kit!
The ornament stamp and die included in this month's kit are perfect to create small money gift holders. These make nice stocking stuffers and/or special ways to present a holiday tip to your hairstylist, babysitter, letter carrier, garbage collector or anyone you want to show your appreciation to.
To create the holders, I cut both Arctic and Cherry cardstock to 5" X 4". I prepped a 3" area on each piece of cardstock using my powder tool. Using the Embossing & Watermark ink included in the kit, I stamped the ornament die onto the Arctic cardstock. I then generously applied the red embossing power on the watermark image and gently tapped off the excess, pouring it back into the jar.
I heated the powder-I still giggle when I see it change! I let the embossed image cool for a few seconds then die cut it. With the remaining piece of Arctic cardstock, I diecut the inner ornament; cut it in half and heat embossed Merry Christmas. And let it cool.
I adhered the "Merry Christmas" piece near the bottom half of the ornament and let it dry. Using the Embossing & Watermark ink, I stamped snowflakes and flowers onto the ornaments. I finished the holder with a ribbon.
I repeated the same process using the Cherry cardstock and White Sparkle embossing powder included in the kit for my second money gift holder.
