Angel Gift Card Holders with Hero Arts Christmas Folks

Hola everyone! Today I am sharing gift card holders I created using the Hero Arts Christmas Folks stamp and frame cuts sets. These are easy to assemble and can be decorated for any occasion. I like to make a few at a time, as three gift card holder bases can be created using one sheet of             8 1/2" x 11" cardstock.

To create today’s gift card holders, I first stamped and die cut the angels out of Dove White cardstock and then colored them with Copic Markers.

Next, I cut Cranberry cardstock into three strips measuring

 2 3/4” x 11". I then scored the strips along the 11" side at 3 3/4" x 7 1/2" creating three panels measuring: 3 ¾”-3 ¾”-3 ½”

Next, I cut the smallest panel (3 ½”) corner-to-corner creating a right triangle and what will become the gift card pocket. I repeated this on the remaining strips. I stamped the sentiment with Unicorn Ink twice onto the scrap piece of Cranberry cardstock and cut them into strips.

Next, I placed adhesive tape along the length on the bottom of the right triangles and folded them onto their middle panels-creating the gift card holder pockets. I then folded the remaining panels onto the pockets and voilà-three gift card holder bases are complete!

I set one base aside to save for a later project. Now time to embellish!

I stamped “to” and “from” included in the Christmas Folks stamp set onto the middle panels. Using bronze glitter paper from the Hero Arts September 2020 My Monthly Hero Kit, I cut two pieces to: 2 ½” x 3 ½” and one piece to: 2 ¾” x 3 ¼”

I adhered the 2 ½” x 3 ½” pieces onto the front of the bases. I then cut the  2 ¾” x 3 ¼” piece corner-to-corner creating two triangles for the pockets.

Lastly, I adhered the sentiment panels to the bases with precision glue. Then attached the angels with foam squares.

I hope you give this quick and easy project a try. The Christmas Folks stamp set makes an awesome add-on to the October 2020 My Monthly Hero Kit.
