Punch It!!!

Love when my crafty tools come in handy for other things! Hubby needed a few extra holes in his work belt and I whipped out my handy dandy by Crop-a-Dile Hole Punch and Eyelet Setter by We R Memory Keepers. Now hubby’s pants will be secure and there will not be a chance of anyone one seeing his Superman Underoos! LOL!!! Do you use your crafty tools for other things?

Magical Unicorns

Happy Monday! I am still prepping and pre-stamping for the 30 Day Coloring Challenge hosted by Kathy of The Daily Marker. I like to stamp images using the MISTI by My Sweet Petunia* and Raven Detail Ink by Brutus Monroe. The challenge starts on Nov 1st and I plan to color every day! This time around, I want to get to a few unopened stamps sets that I have in my stash like Magical Unicorns by Pink and Main* The set has coordinating die-cuts so I may make a card! Hope that you will play along!

Here is some additional information regarding the challenge that Kathy has posted on her blog previously that you may find helpful. 

WHAT IS THE GOAL OF THE CHALLENGE?  To color something daily, even if it’s a few minutes, but certainly not required.  (I know that I am happier when I am coloring even if it’s for 10 minutes.)  It’s an ‘anything goes’ challenge; color whatever you feel inspired to do.  Any medium of your choice including “coloring” with ink or fiber for that matter.  Some days you will have more time than others but, it’s just about adding more time to color and carve out a little time for you (often I have colored one petal on a flower).

CAN ANYONE PARTICIPATE IN THE 30 DAY CHALLENGE?  YES please!  If you want to participate you can jump in at any time during the challenge.  Feel free to include your children and grandchildren.  If you miss a few days don’t feel like you have to catch up.  We all know life can get in the way.

HOW DO YOU SHARE WHAT YOU ARE COLORING?  On Day 1  I will have a place for you to share on my blog with a link up. Two more ways to share are FaceBook or Instagram (these are more interactive). When you use the hashtag #thedailymarker30day I can find what you are doing. Kids & young adults use #thedailymarker30daykids.

WHAT IS A GOODWILL AMBASSADOR?  Each challenge a group of people are chosen that were very active during during the previous challenge.  They will be helping me spread love on Instagram and Facebook.  The challenge is about coloring & it’s about community, spreading kindness & support for each other.

Holiday Spirits

I am getting ready to plain along in the 30 Day Coloring Challenge hosted by the sweet and talented Kathy of The Daily Marker I definitely want to use the Holiday Spirits Stamps Set by Avery Elle. A crafty teacher/friend asked if I would make a few cards to give out to fellow teachers. She loved the NEW HEIGHTS Gorjuss Girl image by Santoro London. I used Apple Green Nuvo Crystal Drops by Tonic Studios* on the dress. I left enough room on front of the card to add a sentiment of choice or leave it blank.

Happy World Card Making Day! A friend asked me to create several note cards that she could hand out to patients during her chemo sessions! She said encouraging others made her feel better and took the focus off of herself. I gladly said yes! 💗 I have family and friends who have survived and some are still enduring cancer: breast, lung, colon, kidney...it is all scary! I love that my friend has such a positive attitude and wants to share words of encouragement with others.

I am a Crafter!

It makes me smile when non-crafty friends and associates claim that they like/love something that I have created. I am elated when asked to create cards, party favors, mini albums, home decor and other hand-made items. Recently, more often than not, non-crafty friends and associates assume that my time, materials and creativity have no value. I am asked to create projects that will take hours for free. Yes, crafting and coloring is a hobby, but I cannot walk into any craft store and ask for free items! At times, I suggest that someone purchase the items and I will create the project. Usually, I get a call/text shortly thereafter, stating that they did not realize how much cardstock, patterned paper, glue and other crafty goodies cost. YEP! Crafting is fun, but it isn't free! 

You are a Gem

I adore the GEMSTONE stamp set by CLEAR AND SIMPLE STAMPS. I have used it on many projects and it is my go to when I need a quick card. The GEMSTONE SENTIMENTS, in various fonts, well with the set. I also use SIMPLE NOTES for sentiments as well. Ohhhh.....the PARTY FAVOR diamond is a must for bridal showers or engagement parties. Good day everyone! I picked up these AWESOME Santoro London Gorjuss goodies at the HSN Outlet in Brandon, Florida. My total was less than $10!! I stop by the outlet often to see what crafty finds I can grab at a great price! My hubby does not like to accompany me as he feels as if he has walked onto the set of HSN! LOL!!!
