Hola Everyone! Day off: Will be handing out THANK YOU cards to essential workers while running errands today. A few of you asked what sentiment I place inside: Not all heroes wear capes, thanks for all you do! 😍
Hola Everyone! This handsome doctor is one of 4 healthcare super heroes available as a free digital download by @brutusmonroe. I added an Afro using @procreate 🦸🏾♂️ 👨🏾⚕️
Hola Everyone! This super hero was colored using the @procreate app. I learned how by taking the Beginner’s Guide to Digital Art with Procreate for iPad taught by @kmichaelrussell on @skillshare. He provided the sketch-I added the Afro-brushes, tips, and techniques.
Hola Everyone! Colored another cute digital image by @capitolchicdesigns. Meet Dr. Marc! I altered his already curly hairstyle and made it an Afro. Go to the @capitolchicdesigns site to see other cute images, stickers and custom doll products!💜
Hola Everyone! Still practicing techniques with @procreate. Had fun coloring the Pajamas Day digital image by @capitolchicdesigns. Go to their site to see other cute images, stickers and custom doll products!💜 Ooops::: Typed wrong year in my watermark.
A day off of work and Living the Quarantine Life with @thegreetingfarm. This is a work in progress using @procreate-the digital illustration app for iPad. I applied the techniques I use with my Copics: flicking, shading, etc. Love how the boy’s hair turned out! 👦🏼❤️
Received a huge box of toilet paper from my good friend @sdeezy94 in Pennsylvania. She is a huge Disney fan, so I knew putting Minnie ears on the digital image Social Distancing Jam by @capitolchicdesigns would make her smile! I used @procreate to add the ears. Thank you @sdeezy94!
I took time out this evening to enjoy the Fairy Mini Class taught by Jammie of Sweet Sentiment. I ordered the class a few weeks ago. My clear stamp: Layla by The Greeting Farm, arrived soon after. She is exclusive to the class. But work and adjusting to life during a pandemic got in the way.
The Fairy Mini Class was a great distraction from all of the craziness. Jammie teaches how to color Layla in both black line and no-line in a side by side comparison. I must admit, my no-line was not a pretty sight at all. It was SCARY!!! I am not sure if I am over-thinking my coloring or just need the love and support of lines. LOL!!!! I will keep practicing no-line and share a better version at a later date.
As you can see, I did give Layla an Afro. I love how hairstyles can change the entire look of an image.
Jammie has this and other mini classes. Check them out! >HERE<

I am looking forward to when I can enjoy a day at the beach with my family again. Addy, a digital image by The Greeting Farm, looks as if she is ready to have fun in the sun as well. I altered her by adding two afro puffs. When adding puffs or coloring any hairstyle...I approach them as shapes. The shapes within the shapes create the texture. I view afro puffs as circles. So they are very simple to add to or alter an image with. Take a peek at the video below to see my process.

I loooooove how an afro looks on SOHO by Kenny K Stamps! She reminds me of Pam Grier as Foxy Brown. I hope you are enjoying the coloring challenge hosted by Kathy over at The Daily Marker. Coloring is a safe and relaxing way to stay indoors during this time!
AsI mentioned in a previous post, I enjoy altering my stamps to for various reasons. To make images reflect my family, friends, co-workers and neighbors is one. But. also to find other ways to add life and creativity to images.

Hola everyone! Hope Day 2 of the 30 Day Coloring Challenge finds you safe and healthy! I find comfort in coloring and comedies. I try not to watch or listen to the news.
Today I added an afro to the image in the Quarantine Life Digital Set. I love how a hairstyle or hair color can change an entire look of an image. I also love I can alter an image to reflect my friends, family, neighbors and community.
I am enjoying the awesome digital stamps The Greeting Farm has added to their shop. I am coloring them and creating cards to hand out to essentials workers.
I was finally able to record how I add an afro to a stamped/digital image. It took several tries as my grandchildren continued to enter my craft room to ask questions. LOL!!!
After recording, my 3 year old granddaughter looked at the images...not yet finished and yelled with excitement that they were her and her brother! Her excitement filled my heart with joy!
Take a peek at my tutorial and let me know what you think. If you give it a adding an afro a try...please tag me on Instagram or FaceBook so I may see your work!
